We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with school-aged children who are receiving special education services to address communication challenges, including articulation, expressive/receptive language delays, fluency, and social communication needs. Your primary focus will be to build essential communication skills that enable students to participate fully in their academic curriculum and social interactions. You will manage a school caseload, executing sessions according to specific IEP mandates. Key Responsibilities •

Therapeutic Support:

Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy to individual students or small groups in alignment with their specific IEP mandates. •

Data Collection & Reporting:

Administer assessments, collect daily session data, track communication growth, and prepare professional progress summaries for annual reviews. •

Collaboration & Training:

Collaborate with general and special education teachers, psychologists, and families to generalize communication skills into the classroom and home environments. •

Student Support:

Provide speech therapy with empathy, patience, and respect, ensuring a positive and encouraging communication experience for students. •

Confidentiality:

Maintain complete client confidentiality in adherence to HIPAA guidelines, FERPA regulations, and school district rules. •

Professional Development:

Keep up with continuing education requirements to maintain clinical competency and up-to-date speech-language methodologies. Skills and Qualifications •

Experience:

Prior experience providing speech therapy to school-aged children with diverse communicative disorders is preferred. •

Technical Knowledge:

Comprehensive knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, speech mechanics, language development phases, and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices if applicable. •

Licensure:

Valid New York State License as a Speech-Language Pathologist and

TSHH/TSSLD

certification is required. ASHA CCCs preferred. •

Communication:

Superb verbal and written communication skills for writing clear clinical reports and keeping families and school teams connected. •

Data Literacy:

Highly skilled in diagnostic evaluation testing, precise clinical documentation, and session logging for district billing. Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families through dedicated speech-language support.
