A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Step into an engaging role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. Dedicated professionals with a passion for helping children thrive will have the opportunity to work full time at a single, welcoming school site, focused on grades K-4 from September 8th, 2026, through June 25th, 2027. Utilize your expertise in communication disorders to make a significant impact each day with a 7.5-hour schedule that allows you to foster meaningful, long-term relationships with students in a close-knit educational environment.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active or eligible Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP-CFY) Previous school-based SLP experience is a plus, but early career applicants are welcome Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as an SLP Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Commitment to supporting students in early elementary grades

Key Responsibilities:

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a K-4 population Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Support students' communication needs within classroom settings Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to create positive learning outcomes Maintain timely and accurate documentation of sessions and progress Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and professional development
