Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students from grades 3 through 12 as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, and focuses on meeting the unique communication needs of a diverse student population. You'll be working onsite, building connections and collaborating closely with educators, staff, and families to create positive outcomes. You will manage a caseload of 30-35 students presenting with a variety of needs, including speech-language impairments (SLI), autism spectrum disorders, other health impairments (OHI), learning disabilities (LD), and potentially students with hearing impairments next year.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Hold or be eligible for New York state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Prior experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred Skilled in providing both direct therapy and consultative services Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities Collaborative mindset and commitment to fostering student success
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted speech-language therapy to students from grades 3-12 Complete evaluations and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with district guidelines Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support staff to maximize student potential Monitor, track, and report on student progress using evidence-based practices Adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student goals and diverse needs This is an opportunity to inspire growth and empower students in a supportive, inclusive environment.
