Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based role this summer supporting K-12 students with speech-language needs during the Extended School Year (ESY) session. This contract opportunity is designed for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists who are passionate about helping children achieve their full communication potential in an engaging and collaborative learning environment. This assignment runs from July 6 to August 14, with working hours from 8:15 am to 2:15 pm, making it an ideal fit for professionals seeking a shorter-term role with impactful outcomes. Serve a diverse caseload of K-12 students, applying your expertise to help them make measurable progress over the summer months.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid state SLP license or eligibility Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome School-based experience is preferred Knowledge of best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy Ability to collaborate with educational staff, families, and other professionals Strong documentation and communication abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and provide direct/indirect therapy to K-12 students with varying speech, language, and communication needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals for students Monitor and document student progress and adjust interventions as necessary Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning This summer contract offers a chance to enhance your skills, gain valuable school-based experience, and make a difference in students' lives over a manageable timeframe.
