Job Details The Speech Language Pathologist Coordinator provides inpatient acute care services and is a vital member of a multidisciplinary team providing advanced, high-quality healthcare. The SLP Coordinator oversees the delivery, quality, and compliance of speech-language pathology services within the organization. This role combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership, ensuring effective therapy programs, staff support, and adherence to regulatory standards.Responsibilities:
Inpatient services of cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, pulmonary and medical-surgical patients Educates patient and family members Work with interdisciplinary team for plan of care Develops and implements speech-language therapy programs Maintains service quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives Manages caseload distribution Supervises and supports speech-language pathologists Ensures evidence-based practices are implemented in therapy services Monitors patient/client progress and program outcomes Oversees accurate and timely documentation, evaluations, and reports Prepares for audits and accreditation processes Knowledge of hospital, Joint Commission, state and federal guidelinesRequirements:
MBS (Modified Barium Swallow) required NYS SLP license and registration Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-SLP) Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology Strong communication skills 1-2 years of experience required, preferably in a hospital setting Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred Posted Salary Range USD $70.00 - USD $89.00 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
