A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Dragonfly Cares is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in a part-time role in a welcoming and supportive environment- Dragonfly's St. James and Melville Centers, with availability to see students on weekdays during afternoon and early evening hours (3-7pm). This is an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated support team and provide essential speech and language services to children. The hourly rate range for this role would be $65-90/hr based on experience in the field.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech and language abilities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results. Provide direct speech therapy services to children, focusing on improving communication skills. Collaborate with staff and parents regularly. Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes. A willingness and passion for continued growth and learning. Requirements Valid New York Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Pediatric/school-aged evaluation and treatment experience strongly preferred Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills Ability to work independently in various settings and as part of a collaborative team Valid Licensure and reliable transportation BenefitsWHY JOIN DRAGONFLY CARES?
