In this dynamic school-based role, you'll support pediatric populations, collaborating with educators and families to help children achieve their communication potential. Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license and credentials for practice in New York State Previous experience or clinical rotations in pediatric or school-based settings Strong interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and staff Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Familiarity with a variety of assessment and treatment approaches tailored to children Commitment to fostering inclusive, student-centered learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication evaluations for students Create and deliver targeted therapy plans addressing articulation, fluency, voice, language, and social communication disorders Document progress, maintain accurate records, and prepare required reports Participate in team meetings, IEP planning, and parent conferences Provide support and resources to teachers to facilitate effective communication strategies in the classroom Educate and empower families regarding at-home strategies and student progress Adapt therapy approaches to support a diverse range of learning needs
