A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Set your own schedule with Freedom Therapy, we are quickly growing and looking to expand our Home Health Care team in Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga counties. We are looking for a committed prn Speech Therapist to act as the patient's partner throughout the trip of restoring daily activities and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation. ST Responsibilities Identify and meet patients' goals and needs Develop care plans using a variety of treatment techniques Create wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally Promote clients' healthy lifestyle by improving clients' cognitive and swallowing abilities Consult and communicate with the interdisciplinary team Evaluate effects and monitor and communicate progress Document patient care services ST Skills Proven work experience as a Speech therapist Intensive education and clinical expertise Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities Current knowledge of treatment practices Drive to continually learn and grow Professional behavior Excellent interpersonal communication skills Valid license to practice speech therapy in Ohio Pick your Freedom Therapy reimbursement package based on your personal needs. Pay is per visit depending on the visit type- $65 to $95. Previous home care experience is preferred but not required.
