Join Our Team at Avita Health System - Avita Galion Hospital Avita Health System is proud to serve the communities of Crawford and Richland counties through three hospitals and numerous clinic locations. Over the past few years, we've tripled in size, now employing over 2,200 team members and more than 160 physicians and advanced practitioners. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to the people who depend on us. We're currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Speech & Audiology Department at our Galion location . Position Overview Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are responsible for providing appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions in the areas of speech and language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing. The SLP will work directly with patients, their families, and collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals in providing education, counseling, and facilitation of additional care/intervention as needed. Additionally, pediatric SLPs provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and or language comprehension disorders.
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist). BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire. Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.
Preferred:
Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist. Certificate of competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Why Join the Avita Health System Team?
