Pediatric Speech Pathologist

We're currently seeking a dedicated Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Speech & Audiology Department at our Galion location . Position Overview Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) are responsible for providing appropriate evaluation, diagnosis, plan of care, and therapeutic interventions in the areas of speech and language, voice, fluency, social communication, and feeding/swallowing. The SLP will work directly with patients, their families, and collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals in providing education, counseling, and facilitation of additional care/intervention as needed. Additionally, pediatric SLPs provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and or language comprehension disorders.

Qualifications Required:

Master's degree from an approved school of speech/language pathology. Current State Licensure in Speech Pathology (as Speech Pathologist). BLS certification or obtained within 30 days of hire. Knowledge of principals and practice of speech pathology.

Preferred:

Previous experience working as a Speech Pathologist. Certificate of competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association. Why Join the Avita Health System Team?
