Job Description
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
(SLP) We are seeking a dedicated and clinical-focused Speech-Language Pathologist to join our healthcare team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will be responsible for the full continuum of care, from initial evaluation and plan development to discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PATIENTEVALUATION & CARE
Effectively screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication or swallowing disorders. Develop and implement comprehensive plans of care that adhere to all regulatory and clinical standards.CLINICAL INTERVENTION
Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical outcomes.CONSULTATION & COUNSELING
Provide expert guidance and support to patients, families, and caregivers regarding speech and swallowing disorders.DOCUMENTATION
Maintain accurate and timely records in the electronic documentation system, including treatment minutes and comprehensive discharge summaries, in compliance with company and regulatory policies.COLLABORATION
Actively participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and rehabilitation meetings. Communicate effectively with supervisors and the broader healthcare team.MENTORSHIP
Support and supervise Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) clinicians or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 1 year of SLP experience is required. Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehabilitation settings is highly preferred.CERTIFICATION
Must be a CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist.LICENSURE
Must hold an active Oklahoma State License and maintain ASHA certification.NEW GRADUATES
New graduates will be considered, provided they have completed a Level II clinical experience (observation-only experience does not qualify).STANDARDS
