Job Goal:
JOB DESCRIPTION
School-based speech-language pathologists are communication specialists who work with students and school teams regarding delays in expressive/receptive language, articulation, social communication, fluency, and voice.
Contract:
One hundred eight two (182) contract days / temporary contract.
Salary:
District Special Education Salary Schedule (Masters, +16, +30 dependent on graduate level credit hours) PLUS $7,500 SLP stipend. Additional $5,000 OSDE stipend (as state funding is available) for SLPs with their Oklahoma Teacher Certification and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Site Administrator in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policies and state law.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum of a master's degree in speech-language pathology emphasizing patient-centered care in the prevention, identification, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment of communication and swallowing disorders for people of all ages. A minimum of 400 clock hours of supervised clinical experience in the practice of speech-language pathology. Received a passing score on the Praxis Examination in Speech-Language Pathology.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Oklahoma teacher certificate. Certification as Speech Pathologist.
