Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide school-based speech-language therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals and state/district guidelines. Complete evaluations, interpret results, and develop evidence-based treatment plans and recommendations. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with special education staff, teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress. Maintain timely, accurate documentation including session notes, progress reports, evaluation reports, and Medicaid billing requirements as applicable. Support a positive, inclusive learning environment by delivering services in classrooms, therapy rooms, and other educational settings across district sites.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a closely related field from an accredited program. Current Oregon SLP licensure. 0+ years of experience (new graduates encouraged). Ability to work in-person across schools and districts within Grant County, Oregon. Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to manage a school-based caseload and maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with district and state requirements. Ability to stand, walk, move throughout school buildings/classrooms and lift/carry typical therapy materials as needed.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in a school setting and familiarity with IEP processes.
