Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity making a difference in the lives of students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. As part of the Special Education Service Area, you'll be joining a multidisciplinary environment that supports students with a range of needs, including those requiring augmentative communication and specialized behavioral support. While specific assignments and locations will be determined in late spring, flexibility and openness to various caseloads will be valued during placement.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders A few years of experience in a school setting as an SLP Oregon teaching license with Speech Impaired or Communication Disorders Endorsement and/or State of Oregon SLP License ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience supporting students with moderate and severe disabilities is a plus Comfortable using both low and high tech augmentative communication systems Valid Oregon Driver's License Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families; able to maintain confidentiality May need to hold current First Aid/CPR certification
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students in assigned school settings Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with families and interdisciplinary teams Support students with a variety of communication disorders, including the use of augmentative and alternative communication devices Maintain thorough documentation, following state and district protocols Participate in special education meetings and contribute to effective service delivery If you're passionate about supporting diverse student populations and thrive in a collaborative environment, this opportunity could be a perfect fit.
