A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active SLP license in the state of Oregon or eligibility for licensure Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates also considered Experience with pediatric populations, particularly within educational or healthcare settings Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and willingness to deliver remote services as needed Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills Previous school-based experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in a diverse student population Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in accordance with federal, state, and district guidelines Provide direct therapy services on-site or via telepractice, adapting strategies to maximize student success Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other service providers Participate in IEP meetings to contribute to holistic student support plans Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation required by the district
