A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

VBeyond Healthcare is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a 13-week contract in a post-acute rehabilitation setting , with possibility of extension. Job Details

13 weeks, with possibility of extension

Schedule:

Monday

  • Friday, 8:00 AM
  • 4:00
PM Hours:

32 hours guaranteed, with opportunity to work up to 40 hours weekly

Local Pay:

Up to $50/hr. on W2

Travel Pay:

Up to $2,250 weekly

  • Provide skilled speech, language, and swallowing therapy to patients in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility guidelines. Responsible for patient evaluation, treatment planning, and delivery of therapy to improve communication and swallowing function. Responsibilities
  • Conduct screenings, evaluations, and treatments for speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Develop and update individualized treatment and discharge plans. Document services in compliance with regulations and facility standards. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams, patients, and families. Maintain compliance with infection control and safety protocols. Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program (MS/MA).
