Acute care in a critical access facility Responsibilities Provide speech-language pathology services to patients with speech, language, or swallowing disorders. Assess and document data from patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes; identify changes and trends in physical and emotional parameters. Review treatment plans and modify or write new programs based on individual performance. Maintain documentation in accordance with legal, policy, and regulatory requirements. Instruct patients on strategies to monitor speech and practice new skills; educate patients and families as appropriate. Collaborate with the care team to support comprehensive patient management and discharge planning. Requirements Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or foreign equivalent (required). Active Speech-Language Pathologist licensure in the state of practice (required). CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred. Valid Driver's License; must be 21 years of age or older (required). At least two years of recent experience in the field (required). Current nursing license per the state of assignment (required).
