Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contracted position is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing preschool early intervention services in the Lehigh Valley area, with locations in Carbon County or Lehigh County, PA. This role offers the opportunity to deliver itinerant services to young children and potentially support school-age students during the academic year. The assignment requires flexibility to work with children from PreK through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide preschool early intervention SLP services across various locations in Carbon or Lehigh County. Deliver itinerant support to children and adapt to caseload changes that may include school-age assignments during the school year. Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Maintain accurate documentation and comply with state and local regulations. Engage with families and educators to promote effective communication strategies.Qualifications:
Active Pennsylvania SLP licensure. Valid Pennsylvania educator credential (Instructional I or II). Experience with preschool early intervention and school-age populations preferred. Ability to provide services in person across multiple locations. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Flexibility to work a 35-hour week following the Early Intervention calendar, with some school-year adjustments.Location:
Service area includes Carbon County or Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. Itinerant services require travel within these counties. Main office is based in Schnecksville, PA.Additional Details:
Start date: ASAP with assignment through the 2026-27 school year (tentative). This role is onsite/in-person only. This position is ideal for SLPs passionate about supporting early childhood communication development and adaptable to working with a diverse age range.
