Speech-Language Pathologist - Disability Services

We are hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver early intervention services to families across Northampton and Lehigh Counties. As a Speech-Language Pathologist you will: Provide specific interventions and therapeutic strategies to increase developmental skills, including communication and oral-motor feeding skills of children who have been identified with developmental delays. Evaluate the developmental skills of infants and toddlers and provide written reports. Work with families and caregivers to identify priorities for their child and the family. Develop intervention plans based on family priorities. Utilize therapeutic strategies to address developmental delays of identified children. Train, and support family/caregivers to attain outcomes established in intervention plans. Document daily activities of children and report on progress. Prepare materials for use with children/families. Maintain communication with the Early Intervention Director and all team members. Maintain positive communication with funders, other providers, and the public.

Position Requirements:

Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology is required. PA Speech Therapy License is required. Certificate of Clinical Competency is required (CCC's). Minimum one year of experience working with preschool children with disabilities and their families. Knowledge of typical infant/toddler development, developmental disabilities. Experience with sensory development, adaptive equipment, and strategies. Ability to interact positively and work with the team. Must have valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and appropriate vehicle insurance. Traveling within the community is required. Must have flexibility with schedule. Proficiency in Microsoft word and excel as well as ability to utilize agency databases. Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Must possess the ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks, with flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities as they occur. Work in an office environment, within the community, and in community homes. Standing, sitting, lifting, and walking required daily. Must be flexible and able to adapt to a variety of environments.
