A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
Blair Therapies is a therapist-owned and locally operated pediatric therapy practice with a growing team of 50+ dedicated clinicians. We provide services across Early Intervention (birth-3), school contracts, and our outpatient pediatric clinic. Our mission is to support children and families in achieving their fullest potential in communication, development, and daily life skills. We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in our School Department. Candidates will have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced, collaborative team with excellent mentorship support, making this a great position for seasoned clinicians; however, Clinical Fellows will be considered. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and provide therapy for pediatric clients with speech, language, communication, and feeding/swallowing needs. Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and interdisciplinary team members. Provide Early Intervention services in natural environments (home, daycare, community) and/or outpatient therapy in our pediatric clinic. Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with state, federal, and insurance requirements. Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration, team meetings, and professional development opportunities. Provide caregiver/family education to ensure carryover of skills outside therapy. Uphold HIPAA and FERPA confidentiality standards at all times. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Pennsylvania state licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred; Clinical Fellows will be considered. Experience or strong interest in pediatrics (birth-school-age). Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with families and team members. Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing education.
