Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a Speech-Language Pathologist providing essential services in an engaging school environment near Gettysburg, PA. This contract-based position enables you to collaborate with students, educators, and families to make a lasting impact on student communication skills and overall success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply. Familiarity with IEP documentation and the special education process in school settings. Effective communication skills and a commitment to teamwork. Compassionate, resourceful, and adaptable approach to working with students.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as part of the evaluation process. Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders. Provide direct therapeutic services individually and in small groups. Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and caregivers to support student learning and progress. Maintain accurate records and contribute to assessments and progress reporting for each student. Consult with educational staff and families regarding communication strategies and practical interventions.
