05/21/2026 Speech-Language Pathologist Long-Term Substitute First Semester of 2026-2027 School Year (August 2026 - January 2027) Great Valley High School Great Valley School District is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist for the first semester of the 2026-27 school year. Under the general supervision of the Director of Student Services, the speech-language pathologist will lead the process in the development, implementation, and coordination of the district's speech-language program. To respond to the individual needs and abilities of all students, the Speech-Language Pathologist must work closely with students, families, staff and administration. Responsibilities Plan and instruct students daily on specific, individualized qualifying IEP goal areas Provide quality, daily instruction for students Communicate effectively with students and their families as needed Ability to work in a collaborative team environment; should be flexible and have a cooperative attitude with fellow team members Proactively solve problems and address areas of concern for students Use effective classroom management to support a safe and nurturing learning environment Assist in developing speech and language skills to facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students Establish a positive learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students Ensure that all activities conform to District and cooperative guidelines Communicate effectively with all members of the school district, cooperative, and community Provide targeted, evidence-based therapeutic intervention to facilitate student participation and occupational performance within the school environment Assess the need for assistive technology and equipment and make recommendations for its use at school to help students function as independently as possible.
