What they do

A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP/CCC)
Location:

Are you an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP/CCC) looking for a rewarding PRN opportunity where your skills are valued and your impact is felt every day? Join the rehabilitation team at Shippenville Nursing & Rehab and help residents regain communication, swallowing, and cognitive abilities while working alongside a supportive interdisciplinary team. What You'll Do:
Evaluate and treat residents with speech, language, voice, cognitive, and swallowing disorders Develop individualized treatment plans focused on maximizing independence and quality of life Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional resident care Complete timely and accurate documentation using Net Health Utilize PointClickCare (PCC) as part of the interdisciplinary care process Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment strategies and recommendations
What We're Looking For:
Current Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathologist license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) and/or Long-Term Care (LTC) experience strongly preferred Experience with Net Health and PointClickCare (PCC) preferred Excellent communication, clinical, and teamwork skills Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused
