Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-12 students in an engaging school environment near West Chester, PA. This full-time, contract opportunity runs five days a week and serves students across the extended school year (ESY) and the 26/27 school year. This role will be based at 3111 West Allegheny Ave, Philadelphia 19132, where you'll play a vital part in helping children develop essential communication and language skills for their academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active state licensure as an SLP. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) eligible. Experience or strong interest in a school-based setting. Familiarity with IEP development and progress monitoring. Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and multi-disciplinary teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and assessments of students' speech and language abilities. Develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans to address students' unique needs. Document progress and maintain thorough records in compliance with district and state requirements. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and support staff on communication interventions. Provide direct and consultative services to students both individually and in group settings. Educate families and school personnel on strategies to enhance communication support.
