Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students across multiple school locations near Alexandria, VA, for the 2026-2027 school year. This assignment calls for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP/SLP-CCC) who are passionate about making a positive impact in educational settings. Assignments are available throughout the district, and candidates will be matched with schools based on their ZIP code for convenience. Begin making a difference from August 17th, 2026, through June 12th, 2027, working 35 hours per week (7 hours per day).
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Virginia SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, Clinical Fellows (CFYs) also welcome Previous experience in school-based SLP settings highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to working onsite at school locations; remote services are not being considered
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive speech and language therapy services to students across elementary, middle, and high school levels Complete and manage IEPs, evaluations, and progress reports in a timely manner Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student growth Imagine building strong connections with students, offering essential support that shapes their learning journey, and contributing to a dedicated school community.
