Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services within a supportive school environment near San Joaquin, CA. This full-time, onsite position (with potential for a hybrid schedule, pending mutual agreement) extends from August 2026 through early June 2027. Multiple openings are available for dedicated professionals eager to deliver impactful support to students as part of a collaborative educational team.
Qualifications/Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) California-issued SLP license or eligibility to obtain credentials prior to the start date Prior experience working in a school-based setting is preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in diverse and dynamic educational environments
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals Provide direct therapy and intervention to students in individual and group settings Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary staff to support educational progress Monitor, document, and report on student progress in compliance with state and federal regulations Participate in team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development opportunities As part of this role, you'll build meaningful relationships with students and colleagues alike, gaining valuable experience within a well-respected school district.
