Location:
IES Schools Innovative Education Services (IES) is a non-profit education service provider for four schools in West Michigan. The Speech and Language Pathologist position is shared between Innocademy Zeeland and iCademy Global. Innocademy is a PreK-8 school with Classic and Spanish Immersion tracks (Spanish language not required for this role), located at 8485 Homestead, Zeeland, Michigan 49464. iCademy Global is a K-12 virtual school. This is a hybrid role. Work with Innocademy Zeeland is completed in person, while work with iCademy Global is completed virtually.
Job Summary:
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide speech and language services across two schools, supporting students with communication disorders that impact learning and social development. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and implement individualized interventions, collaborating with educators, families, and support staff to enhance students' communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Diagnosis:
Conduct evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication needs. Develop and interpret individualized assessment reports. Screen students for speech-language delays and disorders and make appropriate referrals.
Intervention & Treatment:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with targeted speech and language goals. Provide therapy services in individual and group settings across both school locations. Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as needed.
Collaboration & Consultation:
Work with teachers and special education staff at both schools to integrate speech-language strategies into the classroom. Engage families in supporting students' communication development. Participate in IEP meetings and professional development activities.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including IDEA and Michigan special education policies. Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Licensure:
Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license.
Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage a caseload across two schools.
