We specialize in evaluating and treating individuals living with Parkinson's disease, as well as working with adults experiencing other complex neurological concerns. NCTS has proudly provided specialized Occupational and Speech Therapy services to the Parkinson's community and other neurologic populations in Northern Colorado for over 10 years. As a Speech-Language Pathologist here at NCTS, you have full autonomy over your patients' plans of care. We provide extensive and ongoing mentorship through continuing education opportunities and close collaboration within the therapy team. We promote work-life balance with three-day weekends, the ability to document from home, and reasonable caseload expectations. We are a small interdisciplinary team (4-5 therapists), allowing for daily communication to improve patient care. Details of interest:

The clinic is typically open Monday-Thursday, following a "4 10-hour days" model, unless we are working around various holidays. The clinic is closed on weekends and 8 major holidays. We often take a few additional days off around Thanksgiving, and from December 23 through January 1 for Christmas and New Years. We primarily see patients in the clinic, but also provide therapy in homes or community settings. Your travel time and mileage are paid. Each employee has access to a company laptop for professional use.

Responsibilities:

Utilize standardized and informal tests and measures for accurate diagnosis and management of communication, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders Establish personalized treatment goals and therapy plans in coordination with patients to address specific needs and desires, documenting and updating progress/status as indicated and communicating with all team members Use relevant functional environments and activities in assessment and treatment, exploring adaptations to maximize a person's effective, successful interactions with both necessary and desired activities Document according to standards set by regulatory agencies. Complete thorough documentation within the established time frames Provide treatment as long as is medically necessary and beneficial, either during active rehabilitation or long-term skilled maintenance therapy, to maintain gains achieved or prevent/slow rate of decline given progressive neurological disease Demonstrate care and interest in a person's story, seeing a person for how they have lived during their earlier, more active lives as well as addressing their concerns for increasing limitations in recent years Bring hope, education, motivation, and inspiration to patients and families Show a constant willingness to learn and be challenged in professional growth Be an excellent team member who works well with others and is willing to do a variety of clinic tasks

Qualifications:

Be of strong, ethical character and have a warm, engaging personality Ability to build rapport with patients, families, and team members, with strength in communicating effectively, sincerely, and respectfully Completion of a Speech-Language Pathology Master's level degree Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Current DORA Colorado State license as a Speech-Language Pathologist Prefer 1+ year(s) of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist with adult/geriatric populations. If you are highly motivated and of excellent character, we will consider any level of experience. 3+ character/employment references, including positive history of leave-taking from prior employment Be available to work Full Time 4 days/week, within our typical clinic schedule of Monday-Thursday, for estimated 32-40 hours/week. Good visual acuity and physical mobility for performing job tasks, including the ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects up to 50 pounds BLS certification Additional requirements that will need to be met prior to providing clinical services, though these may be acquired with employer assistance following hire: National Provider Identification (NPI) number Medicare Part B Participating Provider status
