Category Schools - SLP - Telespeech Job Type Contract A contracted Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available to provide telespeech and teletherapy services, supporting school-aged children in Hyattsville, MD. This role involves virtual service delivery within the Eastern Standard Time zone, adhering to state licensure and district requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech-language pathology teletherapy services to students across varying age groups, including elementary and middle school levels. Manage caseloads efficiently, with a range from 40 to 57 students at peak periods. Collaborate with supervisors to tailor caseloads based on individual skill sets and geographic preferences. Maintain compliance with all credentialing and background check requirements. Utilize best practices in virtual school-based speech therapy, with an emphasis on post-pandemic adaptations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field. Active Speech Language Pathologist license in the state of Maryland. Minimum of three years' experience in virtual school-based speech therapy, with at least two years within the past five years. Demonstrated ability to manage substantial caseloads across multiple grade levels. Strong communication and organizational skills suitable for remote service delivery. Ability to provide documentation including resume, licensure images, and professional references.
Work Schedule and Location:
Contract position with a start date in late August and conclusion in mid-June. Approximately 35 hours per week, structured as three full workdays. Service delivered remotely to students in the Maryland and Washington, DC areas, specifically on Eastern Standard Time.
Additional Information:
Compliance with state-specific credentialing and background checks is required. Prescreen and internal eligibility interviews will be conducted as part of the selection process. Qualified candidates prepared to engage in virtual speech-language therapy services within the specified parameters are encouraged to apply. Documentation including licensure verification and references will be necessary for consideration. Compensation for this position ranges from $39.71 to $59.71.
