Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families through flexible speech-language pathology roles. This unique contract opportunity offers the chance to work within a collaborative educational cooperative, supporting a range of student populations across multiple school settings in the Emporia, KS area. You'll have the flexibility to indicate your current residence, and assignments can be matched to your preferred location—whether you're near Emporia, Chase County, or within an hour radius of the main campus. Multiple full-time positions are open, including infant-toddler services (with one evening per week and potential for a hybrid schedule), school-age students in K-12, or middle/high school placements. For the infant-toddler program, start dates are targeted for July, with specifics to be determined.
What you bring:
Active Kansas SLP license (CCC required) Experience or strong interest working in school settings (infant-toddler, K-12, or middle/high school) Commitment to supporting diverse student caseloads (ranging from 10-12 on lighter days to approximately 50-55 on fuller days) Adaptability to onsite or potential hybrid work arrangements Excellent communication and documentation skills Your day-to-day will include: Conducting evaluations and providing therapy to eligible students Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans Monitoring progress and adjusting services as needed Participating in IEP meetings and compliance activities Enjoy a flexible schedule tailored to your desired hours—full-time, part-time, and hybrid options are open.
