Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 school year. From September 8th through June 18th, you'll provide part-time services (two days a week) working mainly with pre-kindergarten students and some elementary/middle schoolers as well. This position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting, especially for those with a background working with AAC devices and students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Qualifications:
Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) Prior experience delivering school-based SLP services, primarily with pre-kindergarten to grade 8 students Strong familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices Demonstrated experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Proficiency in designing and implementing IEP goals and progress monitoring Excellent communication and collaboration skills State licensure as required for speech-language pathologists
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy, focusing mainly on pre-kindergarten students but including some PK-8 students as needed Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders Collaborate with teachers, families, and educational teams to develop and implement IEPs Incorporate AAC devices in therapeutic interventions and support integration within the classroom Deliver data-driven progress reports to inform and guide student goals Maintain thorough documentation of all services delivered in accordance with school and legal guidelines This role presents a unique chance to use your expertise in AAC and ASD to empower early learners on their communication journey.
