Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based contract opportunity providing speech-language pathology services for the 2026-2027 academic year. Collaborate with educators and families to support a richly diverse PK-12 student population near Warwick, RI. What We're Looking For:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current or eligible
RIDE PK-12 SLP
Certification (required) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Experience in a school environment serving PK-12 students Skilled in direct therapy, student assessments, and AAC/assistive tech implementation Bilingual fluency a plus (for bilingual therapy track consideration) Ability to collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families Strong organizational and documentation skills
What You'll Do:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students across PK-12, with specialized tracks in Early Childhood, mixed caseloads, or Bilingual settings Provide evaluations, develop IEP goals, and manage documentation Set up and oversee AAC and other assistive technology devices Participate in team meetings and consult with teachers and parents to optimize learning plans Manage a target caseload of approximately 60 students, with adjustments based on current vacancies and assignments Serve as a resource for culturally and linguistically diverse populations (in a district where 55% of students come from multilingual homes) This role is available immediately and extends through June 17, 2027, covering 35 hours per week.
