Job Description

Description Family Behavior Solutions (FBS) is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language services within our ABA clinic in Woonsocket, Rhode Island , conveniently located near Cumberland, North Smithfield, and the surrounding Blackstone Valley area . This position is ideal for an SLP who enjoys working with children and is comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary, clinic-based environment. The SLP will work alongside BCBAs and other clinical team members to support clients' communication needs and help promote functional communication across settings. We are specifically seeking an SLP with pediatric experience, strong AAC experience, and demonstrated report-writing/documentation skills . Responsibilities Provide individualized speech and language evaluations and treatment services to pediatric clients. Assess receptive and expressive language, articulation, social communication, functional communication, and other areas within the SLP's scope of practice. Evaluate and support clients who use or may benefit from Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems. Develop individualized treatment recommendations based on evaluation findings and client needs. Collaborate with BCBAs, behavior technicians, caregivers, and other members of the client's care team. Coordinate speech-language goals with ABA programming when appropriate to support consistent and functional communication strategies. Provide recommendations and training related to communication strategies and AAC implementation. Complete timely and thorough clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress reports, treatment summaries, and other required reports. Monitor client progress and adjust treatment recommendations based on clinical findings and ongoing data. Communicate effectively with caregivers and clinical team members regarding client progress and recommendations. Maintain documentation in accordance with professional standards and applicable regulations. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other providers as appropriate. Maintain professional standards and ethical practices consistent with the SLP's scope of practice. Requirements Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Rhode Island Speech-Language Pathologist license in good standing. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. Pediatric experience required. Experience with AAC required. Experience working with children with autism and/or developmental disabilities strongly preferred. Strong written communication and clinical report-writing skills . Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical environment. Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to provide individualized, compassionate, and clinically appropriate services to pediatric clients.
