Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current SLP license in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Previous experience working in schools or with pediatric populations Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) based on assessment data Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in groups Collaborate with educators, parents, and school personnel to support students' progress Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports Support and attend IEP meetings, contributing expertise to multidisciplinary teams Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology and educational strategies
