Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact helping students thrive—your expertise will empower learners across elementary, middle, and high school settings. This contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist spans the 2026-2027 school year, beginning July 28, 2026, and concluding May 21, 2027. Each week, you'll work 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday, across various school sites, supporting diverse student needs in a collaborative educational environment near Effingham, SC.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Current South Carolina license or eligibility for SC SLP certification Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Recent experience in a school-based SLP position is highly desirable Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students spanning elementary to high school Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to determine intervention needs Develop, write, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collect and maintain accurate data to monitor student progress and inform instruction Collaborate with educators, families, and interdisciplinary team members Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based support plans This role is perfect for an adaptable professional who thrives in dynamic school environments and enjoys making a direct difference in students' academic and personal development.
