Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic opportunity to support young learners as a Speech Language Pathologist for the spring semester, covering a maternity leave from January through the end of the school year. There is potential for contract extension into the next academic cycle. You'll work full-time, focusing on a vibrant elementary population at a single school site, making a tangible impact on students' communication skills and academic growth. Qualifications and Background Desired:
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or a related discipline ASHA certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) Active South Carolina state licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to start South Carolina educator certification, or ability to attain in a timely manner Experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Serve an elementary caseload, delivering direct therapy and conducting evaluations Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and participate in progress meetings Maintain thorough documentation and timely reporting for each student on your caseload Foster connections with students, colleagues, and families to maximize communication outcomes Contribute to the collaborative problem-solving culture within the school community
