Job Description

Golden Age-Inman is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist, PRN to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in a hospital setting to provide comprehensive care and improve their communication abilities.
Duties:
  • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
  • Provide therapy sessions to patients using various techniques and exercises
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  • Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Stay current with advancements in the field of speech therapy through continuing education and professional development
Experience:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech Therapist
  • Previous experience working with pediatrics is preferred
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing
  • Familiarity with acute care settings and experience in critical care is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
