Job Description
Golden Age-Inman is seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech Therapist, PRN to join our team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, in a hospital setting to provide comprehensive care and improve their communication abilities.
Duties:
Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
Provide therapy sessions to patients using various techniques and exercises
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for continued improvement
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Stay current with advancements in the field of speech therapy through continuing education and professional development
Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
Valid state license or certification as a Speech Therapist
Previous experience working with pediatrics is preferred
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing
Familiarity with acute care settings and experience in critical care is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent problem-solving abilities
