Starting at $55/hour (dependent on experience) Position Overview Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students within a school-based setting in Kingstree, South Carolina (29556) . This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by helping students develop the communication skills necessary for academic achievement, social interaction, and overall success. The Speech-Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with diverse communication needs. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations and assessments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals. Provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, voice, fluency, and social communication disorders. Participate in eligibility meetings, IEP meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions. Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and compliance records. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, school psychologists, occupational therapists, and families to support student success. Select, administer, and interpret appropriate assessment tools and treatment activities. Provide recommendations regarding accommodations, modifications, and communication supports. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and district special education regulations. Support students in developing effective communication skills that enhance educational and social outcomes. Qualifications Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program preferred. Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license required (or ability to obtain). ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred. School-based or pediatric experience preferred. Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based intervention practices. Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Desired Skills Experience working with students with a variety of communication disorders and developmental needs. Strong report-writing and documentation skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and educational staff. Knowledge of special education procedures, IEP development, and compliance requirements. Proficiency with educational technology and electronic documentation systems. Work Environment School-based setting serving students with diverse communication needs.
