Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a meaningful impact as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, working with students from elementary through high school in the Lake City area. You'll partner with a dedicated team to deliver speech and language therapy, conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and collect progress data throughout the academic year from July 2026 to May 2027. With a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, you'll support students across multiple school sites, ensuring diverse experiences each day.
Key Qualifications:
Active South Carolina Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility for certification required Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) highly desired Previous experience working in school settings and familiarity with IEP processes Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with school teams and families Ability to manage a varied caseload of students across grade levels
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high schools Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' needs and monitor progress Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collect and document student performance data consistently Travel between multiple school locations as required Collaborate closely with educators, specialists, and parents to promote student success This contract role offers the opportunity to work in the field, making a genuine difference in the lives of students while broadening your professional experience in a supportive environment.
