Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting the academic and social growth of students during the 2026/2027 school year. This contract opportunity is perfect for Speech-Language Pathologists who hold their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and are passionate about making a difference in elementary school settings.
Two full-time positions are available:
one at a single elementary school, and the other shared between two welcoming campuses within easy reach of Brandon, SD. The assignment runs from August 20 to May 28, with a consistent 37.5-hour workweek that provides stability and work-life balance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active CCC-SLP certification required Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain prior to start date Familiarity with school-based IEP processes, documentation, and best practices Experience with a range of communication disorders in pediatric populations Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders in an elementary school environment Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Work collaboratively with teachers, special educators, and families Maintain up-to-date and accurate student records and progress notes Support students' functional communication skills to promote academic and social success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Engage in activities and professional development as required by the district Enjoy the rewards of helping students reach their potential while gaining valuable experience in supportive, educational settings.
