Key Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure (as required by state) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Prior experience in K-12 settings (internship or clinical practicum hours considered) Thorough understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy to K-12 students, adapting methods to address diverse needs Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, documenting findings accurately Write Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), set measurable goals, and monitor progress Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise and advocating for students needs Collaborate with teachers, school psychologists, and parents to facilitate student success Maintain timely records and documentation as required by school policy and state guidelines Work exclusively with on-site students (no teletherapy/VOCO responsibilities) Working as a contract-based Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting brings variety and the chance to grow professionally.
