A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Avera Health is seeking a compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders across varied care settings. You will design evidence-based treatment plans, provide individualized therapy, and document outcomes in the EMR. Collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team, you'll educate patients and families, support safe discharge planning, and contribute to program development.
