Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This position calls for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support school-aged children with speech and language development in a contract role based in Morristown, Tennessee. The ideal candidate will have experience working within educational settings, providing tailored speech therapy services that help students achieve their communication goals.
Key qualifications and experience:
  • Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Proven experience delivering speech therapy services in school environments
  • Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Strong knowledge of Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, parents, educators, and other professionals
  • Capability to maintain detailed therapy records and progress notes adhering to school and state guidelines
Location:
Morristown, Tennessee - serving local school districts with a focus on supporting diverse student populations Responsibilities include:
  • Conducting speech and language assessments to identify student needs
  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans based on assessments and educational goals
  • Providing direct speech-language therapy to students through individual and group sessions
  • Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate therapy goals into the classroom setting
  • Tracking progress and adjusting therapy approaches to ensure positive student outcomes
