Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based speech-language pathology opportunity in the Chattanooga area, supporting students' communication skills during the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a lasting difference within an educational community. Serving across designated school sites, you'll engage with student caseloads (traditionally in the elementary age group, with final details forthcoming as numbers are confirmed) and work closely with a collaborative team.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license required Current Department of Education certification as an SLP Previous experience in school-based settings preferred Ability to complete timely fingerprinting and credentialing prior to start date Strong communication and organizational skills Eagerness to adapt to varying caseloads and sites within the assignment Commitment to evidence-based, student-focused intervention
What You'll Do:
Provide speech and language therapy to students across assigned schools Conduct assessments, design therapy plans, and monitor progress Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support IEP development Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with district and regulatory requirements Foster an engaging, supportive learning environment for students of varying abilities Participate in meetings and professional development as assigned This contract role begins August 5, 2026, and continues through May 19, 2027, encompassing 35 hours per week.
