Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist on a full-time contract assignment in the Chattanooga area. This opportunity offers a dynamic role supporting elementary-aged children, with specific caseload assignments to be determined as the district finalizes enrollment numbers for the upcoming school year. The assignment will run from August 5, 2026, through May 19, 2027, with coverage across schools assigned based on district needs.
What You'll Need:
Active SLP license Current Department of Education certification as a school-based SLP Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary age students, preferred Ability to complete all time-sensitive credentialing, including fingerprinting Flexibility to work across multiple campuses if needed Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned student caseload Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to develop and implement IEP goals Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and compliance with district and state guidelines Support students' communication needs to promote academic and social success Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team decisions Travel between assigned schools (assignment details to be provided prior to the start date)
Additional Details:
