Perform clinical assessment and identify patient needs Document, prepare, and complete patient Plan of Care. Track progress and revise as needed Meet mandatory continuing education requirements Apply concepts of infection control and universal precautions in coordinating and performing patient care activities to prevent contamination and transmission of disease Provide appropriate plan, treatment, and evaluation for speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with appropriate tests and measurements. Maintain pertinent records of specific tests performed and progress made Communicate and educate family concerning patient deficits, ways to facilitate treatment, and appropriate discharge plans Promote company mission and administrative policies to ensure the quality of careRequirements:
Current Texas State License as Speech Language Pathologist Current Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation One year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric experience required Effective interpersonal relations and communication skills Knowledge of durable medical equipment Able to work in a patient's home in various conditions Excellent organizational and time management skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality Proof of current CPR certification Ability to do heavy lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, and standing. Prolonged standing and walking are required Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needsBenefits:
