Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact in education supporting students' communication needs! This school-based contract opportunity near Converse, TX is ideal for dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP) and Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPA) passionate about helping students thrive. There are two full-time leave openings available: one for 13 weeks from August 10, 2026 to November 2, 2026, and another for 8 weeks from August 12, 2026 to October 2, 2026, both offering a consistent 37.5-hour work week.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or active SLPA credentials Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as an SLP (CCC or CFY) or SLPA Prior experience in a school setting working with children and adolescents Strong organizational and communication skills Capability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and other school professionals Ability to supervise, if required (SLP-CCC candidates)
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and diagnose speech, voice, language, and fluency disorders in students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's IEP Provide direct therapy services to students across a range of ages and needs Document student progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with IEP teams, teachers, and families to promote student progress Participate in parent meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development Support generalization of speech and language goals within the classroom environment Enjoy working in a collaborative, student-focused environment where your expertise will bring measurable growth.
