Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract role supporting PK-5th grade students in an engaging school environment near Haltom City, TX. This opportunity runs from mid-late September through the end of December and offers the chance to make meaningful connections in general education, special education resource, and self-contained life skills programs. With a weekly commitment of approximately 37.5 hours across a standard five-day schedule, you'll work with a manageable caseload of 60-65 students to make a visible difference.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active Texas SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school-based settings or working with children, especially PK-5th grade Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration within interdisciplinary teams Strong organization, time management, and communication skills Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to serve general education, special education resource, and self-contained populations
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech-language therapy to students PK-5th across various educational programs Manage a caseload of 60-65 students, maintaining documentation and data in alignment with school and state requirements Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to address student needs and contribute to IEP meetings Monitor student progress, adjust interventions, and maintain clear communication regarding supports and outcomes Provide input for program development and student transition planning as needed Imagine the difference you can make—empowering students to gain communication skills that will last a lifetime.
