Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

Current certification as SLP-CCC (Speech-Language Pathologist, Certificate of Clinical Competence) Experience with early intervention (ages birth-12 preferred) Familiarity with pediatric caseloads and school-based therapy Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) candidates with strong references considered Comfort with teletherapy platforms strongly preferred Ability to adapt to new school cultures and work independently

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct speech and language assessments for early learners Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Provide direct therapy in both in-person and teletherapy settings Collaborate with school personnel, families, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain detailed documentation and adhere to compliance standards
