A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - FULL TIME THE EDEN OF LAS COLINAS - IRVING, TX
Join our team and start making a difference! The Eden of Las Colinas in Irving, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist for our in-house rehab program! Contact Ashley Keenan at 737-303-6376 or askeenan@ensignservices.net to learn more/apply!Duties:
- Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
- Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
- Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
- Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
Qualifications:
- Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
- Open to SLPs at all experience levels.
