Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide expert speech and language therapy services to our geriatric patients. Your primary focus will be assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders through personalized therapy plans. You will collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for patients in geriatric populations Develop and implement tailored speech-language therapy plans that address specific communication and swallowing challenges Provide direct therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve speech clarity, language skills, voice quality, and swallowing function Collaborate with parents, caregivers and healthcare professionals to coordinate care strategies and facilitate progress Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to document assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and patient outcomes accurately Educate families on home practice exercises and strategies to support ongoing development outside of therapy sessions Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure integrated patient care and share insights on patient progress Stay current with advancements in speech-language pathology by engaging in continuing education and maintaining relevant certifications Experience Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy techniques for individuals with speech impairments, language delays, or disabilities Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations using standardized assessments Familiarity with therapy platforms and delivering remote services effectively is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology related to physiology, anatomy of speech mechanisms, and swallowing disorders is essential Prior experience working with individuals across the lifespan—including geriatrics—is a plus Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic treatment approaches Join us if you are eager to empower individuals through expert communication support! Pay:
$42.00 - $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 - 40.0 per week
